Help Group
San Fernando Valley
The Help Group is a leading Los Angeles-based non-profit (founded 1975) focused on serving children, teens, and young adults with special needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning differences. They offer specialized education, mental health services, vocational training, and residential programs.

Exceptional Minds
San Fernando Valley
Exceptional Minds is a non-profit academy and studio preparing young adults on the autism spectrum for careers in animation, visual effects, 3D gaming and other related fields in the entertainment industry. We provide technical and work readiness training customized to help students achieve their artistic and professional goals.
Exceptional Minds is comprised of a vocational academy, post graduate program, and professional post-production studios.
Shop the Spectrum
Shop the Spectrum is a directory website which showcases an array of small businesses selling great products with one special feature in common. Each business offers work-based employment opportunities for autistic individuals.
Many of these businesses have been featured or supported by Rising Tide U, which is providing invaluable resources to autistic individuals and those around them to help them launch their own unique businesses. Visit their website to find podcasts, webinars, and more!

At ECF Art Centers, we believe that creativity is a powerful tool for self-expression, connection, and growth.
For more than 50 years, we have helped adults with developmental disabilities find their artistic voice. We support them in building meaningful careers and sharing their work with the world. We provide personalized support and professional instruction. This helps artists succeed as individuals and in a lively creative community.

LA County Dept. of Mental Health Regional Centers for the Developmentally Disabled
Each Regional Center is a nonprofit, private corporation that contracts with the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to coordinate or provide community support, resources and access to services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
There are 21 Regional Centers throughout California, seven of which are in Los Angeles County. Many individuals with developmental disabilities that are present before age 18 are eligible for Regional Center services. Check for events and training available at our centers.
